Madbury Properties owns and operates over $100 million in real estate assets through a blend of value-add acquisitions and ground up developments.  We capitalize on well-located properties that have been overlooked, under-managed or under-capitalized.  This strategy has resulted a track record of achieving attractive returns without commensurate risk. Our largest investments have been in student housing in Durham NH where we have become the market leader controlling 800 student beds and 50% market share in the Downtown market. More recent investments have been in the multi-family and commercial segments in the Seacoast areas of New Hampshire and Maine.

Market Leadership at University of New Hampshire

Since 2012, when we made our beachhead acquisition, we have achieved market leadership at UNH.  By way of acquisition and development, we have accumulated a number of properties and 300,000 s.f.  to become the largest student-housing operator in New Hampshire. We leverage our property management company, Golden Goose Property Management, to manage and improve these properties while delivering our tenant experience.

By combining two strategic land sites, partnering with the University of NH and aligning our interests with the Town of Durham, we successfully developed Madbury Commons, a 220,000 s.f. mixed-use development that was the largest construction project in NH in 2015.

Madbury Commons Property Case Study

Madbury Commons is a mixed-use development consisting of 525 beds (126 units) and 43,000 s.f. of commercial space. By combining two strategic land sites, partnering with the University of New Hampshire and aligning our interests with the Town of Durham, we successfully developed the 220,000 s.f. complex that was the largest construction project in New Hampshire in 2015. It is ideally located directly next to UNH and the heart of Durham and is the most popular student residence in the town.
